The Stellenbosch based wine farm’s main business focus is in the niche market of wine tourism. Its product offering includes wine exporting, entertainment for up to 100 guests, facilities for business meetings and workshops as well as wine tastings. The business is 100% owned and managedteambuilding and conference facilities.

The business is focused on individual needs through conferencing and wedding groups. It is an accommodation establishment that offers exclusive Dinner, Bed & Breakfast facilities. I honed my Hospitality Industry experience when I worked in an up-market B&B Hotel in Ireland.

My biggest success was conquering all odds and buying Victoria Manor and to be recognised as a provincial ETEYA winner, proving that hard work and commitment pays and that one must never underestimate your capabilities. Being involved in ETEYA has gained me more national and international recognition, the business is flourishing and since the ETEYA announcement, the guesthouse is always booked to capacity.
My future plans include turning Victoria Manor from a 4 star hotel into a 5 star hotel, build an entertainment area with a swimming pool and add about 15 more rooms to the existing 18-roomed guesthouse.

Tiveka Game Lodge provides leisure facilities that cater for local and international clientele; a small game reserve where people can view animals at competitive prices. The lodge’s services include game drive facilities, with a professional ranger for a group of ten per drive; accommodation facilities for 100 guests and conference facilities, accommodating 50 to 500 delegates.

The challenges faced by women in business and the lack of available opportunities for female entrepreneurs are what inspired the management of Tiveka to establish the game lodge.

Tiveka entered ETEYA as it affords the establishment the opportunity to measure themselves against their competitors and to ascertain whether the business is heading in the right direction. However, this is not the only benefit, in addition, Tiveka believes the business skills training and advice received throughout the ETEYA judging process will contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Based on their five year plan, Tiveka aims to improve the establishment’s services by increasing accommodation and conference facilities, adding more activities such as a swimming and braai area as well as a golf course.

Tiveka have plans to aggressively market the establishment and to excel in service delivery.
