Travel Agencies    
In addition to the nine categories, a Consumer's Choice Award will be awarded to the establishment to have received the most (pro-rata based on size of the establishment) nominations for this award.

Criteria

And we’d like to know whether you’re getting just that. To help us judge all the entrants, we need your nominations. It’s quick and easy to do and if you feel you’ve had an outstanding experience with any of
the following categories:
  • an accommodation establishment
  • a meetings, exhibitions events venue
  • an online tour operator / planner
  • a travel agency
  • a national or private park
  • a restaurant
  • a tour operator
  • a tourist attraction
  • or a tourist guide

Entry criteria

All participants who entered the other 8 categories will be automatically considered in the online category. Your own website is a pre-requisite, as entrants without an online presence will be excluded.

Your website will be evaluated according to the following:

  • Given the name of your establishment, how easy is it to find your website.
  • The ability of website to meet certain key user needs, for example:
    • how easy is it to identify what category your products or services fall under (accommodation, tour operator, tour guide, or tourist attraction etc)
    • how transparent your website is in terms of rates and prices
    • whether there are supporting facts, news or promotions on the home page
    • whether there is any third party evaluation of your product/service quality
  • The efficiency and effectiveness of navigation on your websites
  • The site user interactivity, especially in support of the reservation and booking process
  • How useful your site is in providing good comprehensive contact details
  • Useful links off the website that would assist user's with the total experience
  • What 'push' and 'pull' facilities' sites you have in place to encourage ongoing communication with users.
